Public-private partnerships (PPP): win-win tools for expanding cost-effective growth
PPPs are a key element in a government’s strategy for deliveringmodern, high-quality public services and promoting competitiveness. The UAE and Saudi Arabia started actively using private-sector technology and innovation to provide better quality public services through improved operational efficiency.
The initiative is novel; however, GCC countries have successfully used PPPs in infrastructure, waste management, education and bringing FDIs to the region. The Vision 2030 program utilizes these partnerships both to diversify the economy and mitigate climate change.
